Position Summary

Reports to: Head Housekeeper / General Manager


Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the housekeeping cart in an orderly and tidy manner at all times.

2. Thoroughly clean guest accommodations within 22 minutes or less, adhering to hotel standards, which includes cleaning floors, walls, and all surfaces using designated chemicals and equipment, along with other tasks assigned by the General Manager or Head Housekeeper.

3. Make beds and rearrange furniture as necessary.

4. Operate and care for vacuum cleaning equipment.

5. Document room status on the Housekeeping Assignment sheet.

6. Place guest amenities in the respective rooms.

7. Dispose of waste and clean trash receptacles.

8. Maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.

9. Communicate maintenance issues to the Front Desk.

10. Adhere to the uniform policy, ensuring a neat appearance with a name tag.

11. Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.

12. Follow all safety protocols and procedures established by the company.


Required Skills:

1. Ability to read and understand emergency and safety information, including labels and instructions.

2. Capability to communicate emergency situations to supervisors in English.

3. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

4. Punctuality and adherence to scheduled shifts.

5. Maintain a professional demeanor towards guests, colleagues, and vendors.


Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to move between guest rooms while adapting to varying climate conditions.

2. Capability to clean floors and reach difficult areas manually.

3. Occasional bending and twisting of the neck.

4. Ability to comprehend emergency and safety information and communicate effectively in English.

5. Ability to hear alarms, phone calls, and conversations.

6. Normal vision, with or without corrective lenses.

7. Ability to reach, bend, and perform light lifting, pushing, and pulling.

8. Dexterity in fingers for grasping and handling tasks.

9. Ability to bend and twist the trunk.

10. Maintain balance and perform crouching or kneeling as needed.

11. Capability to walk and stand for extended periods.
