Job Title: Field Services Manager

Broward County, FL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Services Manager to oversee all countywide animal care enforcement operations. The ideal candidate will provide supervision, technical advice, and assistance to field staff involved in investigations, rabies prevention, animal licensing, humane treatment of animals, regulatory code compliance, and enforcement work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise employees ensuring regulatory compliance with all permitting requirements or issues.
  • Recommend countywide animal control policy and implement procedures for assigned functional areas.
  • Serve as liaison between Division Director, staff, and County residents.
  • Provide training opportunities for required Florida State Animal Control Certification.
  • Analyze administrative reports and assist management with special projects as required.
  • Provide input on the development of the annual budget and review standard operating procedures, vehicle inventory, and property control.
  • Act as liaison for other law enforcement departments to resolve problems.
  • Coordinate disaster preparedness, recovery efforts, and large animal relocations during a disaster.
  • Act as Emergency Operations Center liaison when needed.
  • Hire, train, and conduct performance reviews of field staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, public administration, or closely related field.
  • Two years' experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing animal ordinance enforcement programs or business operations in an animal shelter environment or closely related experience.
  • Experience managing staff, including number of years in a management position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Chameleon and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Animal Cruelty Investigator Certification, Chemical Immobilization Certification, or other relevant certifications.
