Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Criminal Justice Information Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for researching crime reporting data to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research to support accurate and complete crime reporting information
  • Work with agencies to identify errors in data submissions
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve complex issues in crime reporting data
  • Remain knowledgeable about legislative changes, rules, and regulations related to information systems and workflow processes
  • Provide exceptional service to local, state, and federal agencies and the general public
  • Support division objectives by analyzing work flow and identifying areas for improvement
  • Assist in drafting and publishing articles related to crime data and reporting topics
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal communication
  • Knowledge of Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) or XML experience
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system
  • Knowledge of data collection methods
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to work independently and establish effective working relationships
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data
  • Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and effective manner
  • Ability to create and modify Excel spreadsheets
