Machinist / Tooling Specialist - Precision Metalwork

At RBC Bearings Incorporated, we're dedicated to producing highly engineered precision bearings and components for the industrial, defense, and aerospace industries.

We're seeking a skilled Machinist / Tooling Specialist to join our team in an Aerospace manufacturing environment. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for operating high-speed machinery to produce precision metal parts according to customer specifications.

About the Role:

  • You will work under close supervision to set up and operate equipment within our HVOF production environment.
  • You will measure and control product quality, making process changes within standard operating procedures.
  • You will maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will machine metal parts to print specifications and established performance standards.
  • You will perform quality workmanship through the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • You will refer to drawings, engineering prints, and written instructions to machine products to customer/engineering specifications.
  • You will follow scheduled workflow according to assigned priorities and communicate deviations to your department lead.

Requirements:

  • You must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED, and one year of experience post-high school machining or related coursework.
  • You should have knowledge of tooling and precision set-ups with consistent quality results.
  • You should be able to read prints and engineering drawings.
  • You should be able to read, work, and follow instructions in English.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • This role requires employees to stand for 8 hours and machine production parts.
  • Lifting parts up to 30 lbs unassisted is required.
  • The employee also moves throughout the building to collect, deliver, and handle production parts.
