- Serves as a circulator and procedure monitor, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Engages in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills as a scrub assistant.
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, a 45-bed facility, has been a cornerstone of healthcare in the community since 1900. With a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care, we are equipped with a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab that provides a comprehensive range of cardiac services. Our facility operates as an accredited chest pain center, offering both inpatient and outpatient services to meet the needs of our community.
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
- Current nursing license in Pennsylvania or a multistate license.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience in acute cardiac care; Cath Lab experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
Professional Development:
As part of our commitment to excellence, the RN will assist in the orientation and ongoing education of new staff and students. Participation in unit-specific educational programs is encouraged to promote professional growth and community cardiac education.
Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, necessitating strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. The RN will be responsible for maintaining safety protocols and ensuring the readiness of the Cath Lab for emergent cases.
