Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor, Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
  • May include Dual Credit courses.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution and an active Texas law license with a minimum of five (5) years nonteaching experience in a law practice.
  • Ability to perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in an office environment with relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Little physical effort required.

This is a Security Sensitive position, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
