At Freedom Pointe at The Villages, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all medications in accordance with department procedures.
- Monitor residents' conditions, reporting any changes or incidents to physicians, nurse managers, or responsible parties.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met and state requirements are met.
- Supervise and assist Certified Nurse Aides and other nursing staff, delegating assignments and ensuring completion.
- Conduct regular walking rounds, performing visual and physical assessments, controlled drug counts, and thorough reports.
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Ensure all transfer, discharge, and admission information is complete according to policy and practice.
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
- Current license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners for Vocational Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR - Healthcare Provider) certification.
- At least one year of experience as a charge nurse in a geriatric setting preferred.
