Giovanni Foods is proud to offer a challenging opportunity on our Sanitation team.
This is a 3rd shift position with a start time of 10pm and an end time that varies, but typically around 6:30am.
Job SummaryThe Sanitation Technician is responsible for performing duties related to sanitizing machinery, equipment, and the facility.
They are also responsible for assigning job duties to Sanitation Assistants, working with the master sanitation schedule to ensure all sanitation duties are completed thoroughly and efficiently.
As a member of our team, you will be expected to operate in a collaborative environment, assisting one another as needed.
In the absence of a Sanitation Assistant, another Sanitation Assistant or an employee cross-trained in that skill and familiar with food safety requirements will perform this job function.
Duties and Responsibilities- Verify and perform daily, weekly, and periodic plant-wide cleaning and sanitation, including applying cleaning agents, washing, sweeping, and mopping.
- Adhere to the plant Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment as necessary to ensure a thorough sanitation is completed.
- Verify the use of cleaning agents, understand their purpose, and ensure proper amounts and application processes are followed.
- Maintain housekeeping, GMPs, and safety within the facility.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
