Registered Nurse I Job Description

Northern Light Health is seeking a skilled and caring Registered Nurse I to join our team. As a key member of our Dementia Unit, you will provide expert nursing care to patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to create personalized care plans.

About the Role: The Registered Nurse I will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients. You will work closely with the care team to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Safety:
  • Provides safe and effective patient care by utilizing best practices during handoff communication and reporting patient care information.
  • Documents patient information accurately and completely.
Clinical Assessments:
  • Performs and documents systematic assessments according to established criteria.
  • Recognizes and responds to abnormal diagnostic data and reports to the appropriate provider.
Evidenced-Based Practice & Research:
  • Consistently demonstrates awareness of evidence-based practice.
Leadership and Professional Conduct:
  • Utilizes time management skills to meet expectations for punctuality and attendance.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maine.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
