Speech Pathologist

The Speech Language Pathologist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech, language, cognition and communication functions through evaluation and treatment. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and relevant licenses/certifications. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech, language, cognition and communication functions through evaluation and treatment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members.
- Analyze patient data and make informed decisions about treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Respective state temporary license with the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months.
- Respective state temporary license while completing Clinical Fellowship Year or respective state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in hospital or Home Care Setting.
