Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication skills and ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports to track student progress and inform future interventions.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Licensure: Active SLP license in the state of Illinois.
