Endoscopy Registered Nurse Opportunity

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled and compassionate Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our team in Groveland, Massachusetts. As a key member of our Endoscopy Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterological procedures.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate each patient's needs, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring appropriate screening and preparation.
  • Initiate, administer, and monitor IV therapy and pharmacology as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during endoscopy procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reaction to medications, including IV moderate sedation, to physicians during and following endoscopic procedures.
  • Assist anesthesia with patient care during Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC).
  • Review and explain discharge instructions, ensuring patient understanding.
  • Maintain and review patient's records and other pertinent information while strictly maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain procedure and recovery areas for supplies and materials.
  • Attend required meetings and actively participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current MA Registered Nurse License.
  • Medsurg experience preferred; endoscopy experience preferred.
  • BCLS required (optional with ACLS); ACLS recommended within one year of hire.
