Position Overview:
This role involves providing in-depth product knowledge on designated precision agricultural technologies and fostering enduring relationships within the assigned territory to enhance company profitability and market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive market growth and profitability for the designated precision product categories within the specified region.
- Cultivate industry relationships and networks to stay informed and engaged in all product-related activities.
- Utilize company-provided tools and systems to meticulously document, track, and manage all sales activities in a timely and precise manner.
- Identify opportunities by assessing customer fleets and practices, proactively recommending improved solutions.
- Organize and conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Oversee the delivery of new machinery and provide on-site operational and maintenance training.
- Maintain regular communication with store management and sales teams to share insights on regional activities.
- Serve as a primary contact for technical and commercial product inquiries with manufacturing partners.
- Actively participate in industry associations and events, keeping informed about competitive activities, products, and pricing.
- Seek additional sales, parts, and service opportunities for the company and relay those prospects to the relevant team members.
Training and Support:
- Deliver training sessions for customers and staff, ensuring ongoing education on product developments, including those of competitors.
- Assist customers with parts, service, and repair needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while performing job duties.
- Represent RDO Equipment Co. professionally in all customer and community interactions.
- Engage in available company-sponsored training programs.
- Participate in all communication initiatives driven by the company or location.
- Foster a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues, management, and support teams.
- Execute all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Previous sales experience and/or training is preferred.
- Strong understanding of local market dynamics.
- Familiarity with the resale values of specific machinery is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Candidates must possess valid work authorization and be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
