Job Summary

Sportsman Boats Mfg. is seeking an experienced Aluminum TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for supporting the production of high-quality aluminum boats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Assemble Aluminum Components: Construct t-tops, rod holders, leaning posts, and other aluminum components to meet high-quality standards and daily production goals.
  • Inspect and Assess Welds: Evaluate welds to ensure they are clean, free of errors, and in accordance with relevant welding codes.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers: Work closely with manufacturing engineers to address issues and improve processes.
  • Operate Welding Equipment: Safely operate TIG welders, grinders, and other equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Meet Quality and Production Standards: Maintain a high level of quality and productivity while working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Aluminum TIG Welding Experience: Proven experience in aluminum TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding codes and procedures.
  • Fabrication Skills: Excellent fabrication skills, including layout, measurement, and alignment of metal work pieces.
  • Attention to Detail: Close tolerance when measuring and strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate with colleagues, and follow instructions.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required education level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Marine/Boating Industry Experience: Experience in the marine/boating industry, with knowledge of boat manufacturing processes and materials.
