Your Role

Pearce is on the lookout for proficient Travel Commercial HVAC Technicians, Level III to provide maintenance and repair services for commercial HVAC systems at Renewable Energy Sites. This dynamic position is ideal for responsible, self-motivated individuals who are eager to travel and advance their careers in the renewable energy field. This role requires up to 100% travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the maintenance of commercial cooling systems within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – including diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing components of entire systems.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and routine maintenance.
  • Executing additional maintenance or upgrades on off-season equipment.
  • Responding promptly to service requests, including emergency call-outs.
  • Completing daily work reports accurately and on time.
  • Safely operating and maintaining a motor vehicle in accordance with the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance standards.

Note: Specific duties may adapt over time based on business and client requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must possess Level 2 or Universal EPA Certification (Required).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC maintenance (commercial experience preferred).
  • Experience with Liebert and Johnson Controls HVAC systems is essential.
  • Fundamental understanding of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Environment

At Pearce, safety is our top priority. Candidates must adhere to OSHA standards.

  • Must be available for after-hours and weekend call-outs as necessary.
  • Travel for work (up to 100%) is a requirement, particularly during peak summer months.
  • Driving to remote job sites as needed.
  • Exposure to varying outdoor temperatures while working.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment as required (up to 50 pounds).
  • Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate/DOE and Per Diem.
