Discover your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently in search of Aircraft Assembly Technicians (Level B) to support various aspects of the production system while engaging in different aircraft programs throughout your career in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift.
As an Aircraft Assembly Technician B, you will operate within a manufacturing assembly setting, utilizing knowledge gained from training and certification programs to fulfill your daily responsibilities.
By interpreting schematics and comprehending work instructions, you will be accountable for identifying your task location on the aircraft/part/tooling and determining all necessary hand tools, components, and equipment to ensure defect-free operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to acquire and maintain all required skills.
Utilize a computer in a production environment.
Read and comprehend technical work instructions, schematics, and various components such as brackets, fittings, angles, frames, and splices.
Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment as dictated by the task.
Employ various tools including rivet guns, screwdrivers, power screwdrivers, and pneumatic drills. Operate mechanical lifts such as JLGs and scissor lifts. Route wire harnesses to supports and install connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
Conduct fiber optic cleaning and inspection, perform light loss testing, and handle solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, and paints.
Work in proximity to energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards) and endure constant noise.
Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD). Capable of operating heavy machinery such as cranes and lifts.
Ensure First Pass Quality (FPQ) is achieved according to engineering specifications.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite, requiring compliance with export control regulations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Minimum of 1 year of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints or specifications in English.
1 year of experience using software applications for internet navigation and Microsoft Suite.
Desired Skills/Experience:
1 year of aviation experience (including education). Must complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection training.
Ability to work with high hazard chemicals and perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, and using high-impact vibratory tools.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education and experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and usually 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
