Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement research protocols, including developing manuals, questionnaires, and coding structures for efficient data collection.
  • Oversee data collection at single site studies or multiple sites of a multi-centered clinical trial.
  • Responsible for research procedures on study participants, including measuring blood pressure, obtaining an ECG, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and freezer management.
  • Analyze data, organize and quality control raw data, and use standard statistical techniques and/or package programs to run standard statistics.
  • Verify patient eligibility for studies by comparing patient history and clinical laboratory results with protocol requirements.
  • Participate in writing manuscripts, abstracts for medical journals and meetings, and presenting projects/data at medical meetings.
  • Work with study sponsors on study design and/or determine what group can commit to based on patient population, available resources, and cost of providing services.
  • Develop the study budget and conduct literature searches to provide background information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Clinical research experience, including IRB application and maintenance process.
