Physical Therapist Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Clinician II to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. As a key member of our physical therapy department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing instruction to support staff and students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver physical therapy care to patients and record care in the hospital medical record
- Act as a consultant to various patient populations and provide instruction to OT/PT support staff, PT students, and personnel from other disciplines
- Rotate through various clinical service areas and participate in patient evaluation and implementation of intervention programs
- Order equipment and represent the department at rounds and discharge conferences
- Schedule and charge patients, and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, students, and volunteers
- Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
- Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist and current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Physical Therapist and graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy
- PREFERRED: Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy and successful challenge of the VCUHS Physical Therapy Clinical Ladder
This position requires frequent bending, walking, climbing, reaching, and repetitive motion. The employee must be able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change.
This is a fast-paced environment with a steady pace, and the employee must be able to work in a noisy environment with frequent and intense customer interactions.
