Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder in Waukesha, WI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, component inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and component inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer systems.
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop area.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks.
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
  • Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines, including safety and DOT regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
