Position Overview:
As a Lead Anesthesia Practitioner, you will operate under the guidance of an anesthesiologist to deliver exemplary anesthesia care. Your responsibilities will encompass:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive pre-operative evaluations and issuing appropriate pre-operative directives in line with established protocols.
  • Administering a variety of anesthetic agents and techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Facilitating the intra-operative course and overseeing patient recovery in the post-operative phase.

Your schedule may include a mix of 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, which may fall during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, amounting to a total of 40 hours per week, along with on-call responsibilities. Assignments will be distributed across various operating rooms.


Compensation:
Salary range: $120.10 - $152.38

Qualifications:
Mandatory:
  • Possession of a valid California RN and CRNA license.
  • Graduation from an accredited Master's or DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia.
  • Current certification or re-certification from the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from recognized organizations.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in conducting thorough assessments before, during, and after surgical procedures to formulate safe anesthesia care plans.
  • Ability to identify pre-existing medical conditions and their implications for anesthesia management.
  • Understanding of drug interactions and their effects on anesthesia across all age demographics.
  • Capability to communicate anesthesia techniques, alternatives, and risks to patients, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
  • Expertise in documenting significant pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative information accurately.
  • Skill in airway management and physiological monitoring interpretation.
  • Knowledge of pharmacology related to anesthesia practices.
  • Experience in administering various anesthesia techniques suitable for all patient age groups.
  • Ability to recognize signs of consciousness return and manage patient transitions to recovery.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
