Job Summary

Maintain a safe and efficient delivery process by operating a company-provided or rental vehicle. Ensure accurate records of deliveries and provide exceptional customer service on order and delivery issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer orders safely and efficiently within a designated service area.
  • Load and unload inventory into trucks using powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
  • Review order manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Maintain routine contact with the distribution center to receive instructions on delivery interruptions.
  • Prepare and maintain vehicle and customer order records.
  • Provide updates to customers on delivery statuses.
  • Escalate complex customer service and sales-related issues to management.
Work Environment

Typically located in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.

Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
