About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer, Mid to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our technical team, you will utilize your expertise in electronics engineering to provide advanced technical solutions in support of law enforcement investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing of electronic devices using standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF signal generators, waveform generators, audio analyzers, DSP analyzers, or multimeters.
  • Perform analysis, generate schematics, and troubleshoot electronic or electrical devices to the component level in various conditions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB layout.
  • Stay up-to-date with physical interfaces used for inter-IC communication, including I2C, SPI, LPC, or PCIE.
  • Prepare written documents, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials.
  • Brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and respond to technical questions and requests from customers.
  • Hold a Top Secret clearance.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in EE or Computer Engineering.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Chain of Custody and evidence handling procedures in a forensic laboratory.
  • Experience imaging, extracting, and parsing data from electronic devices.
  • Experience with reverse engineering tools, including IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Ghidra.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller architecture, including ARM or RISCV, and assembly language programming.
  • Ability to program with Python, C, and C++ programming languages.
