This position is temporary with the potential for permanent placement. Weekly compensation is provided during employment with Atlantic Staffing Consultants.

A VALID NC DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD IS REQUIRED.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Plumbing Service Helper will assist in the assembly, installation, and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems in accordance with specifications and plumbing regulations.

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Measuring, cutting, and installing conduit, pipe, and tubing in a professional manner.
  • Insulating lines, pipes, ducts, and other plumbing equipment.
  • Assisting in the installation of parts, components, materials, and supplies.
  • Loading and unloading materials from company vehicles.
  • Organizing and storing items at various job sites.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Assisting in the repair and replacement of fixtures, including faucets and water heaters.
  • Excavating for the installation of conduit and piping.
  • Operating company vehicles to deliver materials as needed.
  • Promoting safety for oneself and coworkers while maintaining a positive company image.
  • Supporting other tradespeople as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid NC driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools is essential.
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with safety practices and tools (OSHA certifications are advantageous).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Candidates must be capable of performing tasks that require manual dexterity, lifting up to 150 pounds, and maintaining balance on ladders. The role involves standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

COMPENSATION:

The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

SCHEDULE:

This position typically operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
