- C4A is a 24-bed neonatal intensive care unit, specializing in the care of infants with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD).
- Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:1 or 1:2 depending on the acuity and needs of the patient.
- C4A is a multidisciplinary Chronic Complex NICU that provides collaborative care to infants.
- We are one team of caregivers working together with the family to provide the best possible care to our patients and families with bedside rounds and reports to include the entire healthcare team and family.

Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
- Assesses individualized patient needs.
- Communicates patient care needs and priorities to assigned Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel.
- Plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
- Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
- Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
- Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- BSN.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Typing on computer constantly.
- Using phone frequently.
- Sitting frequently.
- Standing occasionally.
- Lifting occasionally.
- Walking frequently.
