Key Responsibilities:
Education | Engage in teaching through direct interactions with Medical Assistant trainees and undergraduate students. Participation in Continuing Medical Education programs for practicing physicians is essential for enhancing patient referrals.
Research | Assist in the execution of clinical research protocols as required.
Community Service | Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Clinical Duties | Focus primarily on imaging, outpatient services, and consultative care.
Administrative Tasks | Ensure accurate billing and documentation of patient care as mandated by organizational policies. Adhere to all medical staff regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology Proven expertise in Cardiovascular Disease Strong clinical orientation with adequate research and teaching experience for academic appointment eligibility Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Involvement in teaching and Fellowship programs Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia Commitment to promoting diversity within faculty, staff, and student populations
