About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise in C/C++, assembly languages, scripting, debugging, computer architectures, and networking protocols to support our esteemed government intelligence clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the complete software project lifecycle, technical capability development, and product design.
  • Conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis on a diverse range of software challenges.
  • Collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to develop and integrate software systems.
  • Utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning to push the boundaries of what is achievable.
  • Translate technical ideas into reality for our clients.

Requirements:

  • More than 12 years of experience in software system requirements analysis, design, development, integration, or testing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software development.
  • Proficiency in configuration, administration, and development.
  • Hands-on experience with virtual environments such as VMWare/ESXi, Open Stack, Open vSwitch, and QEMU.
  • Familiarity with embedded platforms including Linux, Unix, Android, and VxWorks.
  • Knowledge of software reverse engineering and debugging tools like IDAPro, OllyDbg, and gdb.
  • Understanding of assembly languages and low-level systems programming concepts.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in embedded software development with platform architectures such as Power PC, MIPS, and ARM x86.
  • Proficiency in vulnerability analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with software test frameworks like CppUnit, GMock, and pytest.
  • Expertise in integrating software systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices using CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo, Python scripting, pipeline development, build systems, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Splunk.
  • Understanding of common protocols and standards, including network protocols analysis and techniques such as TCP and UDP.
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis and configuration management.

Security Clearance:

All selected candidates will undergo a thorough security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory for this position.
