HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in the newly remodeled 10-Bed Pediatric ED. This opportunity offers a unique chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a high volume of pediatric patients, providing exceptional care and making a meaningful impact in the community.
Key Highlights:
- 54,000 annual patient visits, with 36,000 in the main ED and 18,000 in the Pediatric ED
- Newly remodeled 10-bed Pediatric ED, separate from the adult ED
- Physician shifts: 6a-6p, 6p-6a with 12 hours of APP coverage 10a-10p
- Residents from three different HCA EM Residencies rotate through the department, and 1 in-house Pediatric Residency Program trains in the Pediatric ED department
- Accredited NICU (24/7 PICU and NICU)
Requirements:
- Successful completion of at least 5 moderate sedation cases in the last 12 months without complication
- BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician (having completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or done a Peds EM Residency)
- Current ACLS and PALS
