Are you a seasoned Managing Attorney with a commitment to family law? We seek driven professionals to join our team. What Defines a Successful Managing Attorney at Modern Family Law?
- Leadership: Oversee daily operations, productivity, and profitability of the San Jose office, including work quality and billable hours objectives.
- Mentorship: Foster team development through education, motivation, and individual guidance. Lead your team in a professional and positive manner.
- Collaboration: Partner with Talent Acquisition on the recruitment of Attorneys and assist in the hiring of Paralegals. Collaborate with HR to ensure adherence to Firm policies and procedures.
- Meet regularly with other Managing Attorneys and department leaders to ensure the local team receives the necessary support from their respective departments.
- Legal Proficiency: Conduct initial client consultations and retain new clients, advise clients on family law matters, prepare and present cases to judicial officers, represent clients in court and other case-related proceedings, draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, and consult with colleagues specializing in relevant legal issues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
Requirements:
- Education: JD and be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Experience: 7+ years of legal practice; experience in family law and team leadership is required.
