About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Naval Facilities Engineering Command as a Project Development Specialist. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead project development for effective oversight, ensuring timely completion of all phases of work within available funds and authorized scope.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing project management services for comprehensive oversight from 'cradle to grave' of sound process practices, including project development/approval, program review/assessment/execution reporting, workload projections, and cost trends.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of specialized experience in leading project teams with responsibility to coordinate and manage scope, schedule, and budget for facilities design and construction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging your expertise to develop execution plans that ensure timely completion of all phases of work within available funds and authorized scope.
  • Collaborating with engineers and architects to provide technical consultation, criteria/code, sustainable design, collateral equipment, licensing policy, and discipline-related performance metrics for engineering programs.
  • Implementing control/oversight, with strict compliance with financial management policies to manage project funds for stewards of taxpayer dollars (i.e. fiscal processes, appropriation law, MILCON funds management).
  • Representing NAVFAC in conferences with project stakeholders to facilitate sensitive stakeholder discussions and resolution of complex project problems exercising sound judgement.

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
