Forensic Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Pathologist to join our team at the University of Missouri Healthcare. As a key member of our Department of Pathology & Anatomical Sciences, you will play a critical role in providing expert forensic autopsy services to Boone and Callaway Counties, as well as other counties and the State Correctional Facilities system.

About the Role

This is a non-tenure clinical track position, and you will have the opportunity to divide the workload with our experienced forensic pathologist, allowing for time for research, teaching, publications, and other scholarly work. You will also have access to a range of resources, including library access, neuropathology, pediatric pathology, geneticists, clinical microbiologist, and cardiac pathologist.

Responsibilities
  • Perform forensic autopsies for Boone and Callaway Counties, as well as other counties and the State Correctional Facilities system
  • Collaborate with our experienced forensic pathologist to divide the workload and ensure timely completion of autopsies
  • Contribute to research, teaching, publications, and other scholarly work
  • Participate in the hospital autopsy service and the forensic service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Trained in Anatomic Pathology and completed a Forensic Pathology Fellowship
  • Board certification in at least AP and FP, or eligibility for such certification
