The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn, NY, is a 297-bed facility that offers a variety of CNA opportunities in specialized nursing units, including Short-term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care. Our team is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents and staff.

We offer competitive pay rates, with CNAs earning up to $26.16/hour. Part-time and full-time positions are available for days, evenings, and nights, with additional pay differential for evenings and nights. We also offer a paid training and certification program in Auburn, with a guaranteed position upon graduation.

Responsibilities:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide basic care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).

• Assist patients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help patients with mobility by aiding in walking, transferring, and positioning.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
• Assist in feeding patients and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Respond to patient calls and provide them with emotional support and companionship.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens, tidying patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.
• Document patient information and report any observed changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the welfare of patients.
• Assist in transporting patients to various departments within the healthcare facility as needed.

Qualifications:
• Current NYS certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or willingness to complete our on-site training/certification program.
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and rotation to weekend schedule to meet resident needs.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and other employees and cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
• Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
• Ability to report changes in residents' condition and other pertinent information.
• Ability to take and record information and basic records.
• Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software rapidly.
