At voestalpine High Performance Metals LLC, we are looking for a skilled Grinder Operator to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating grinding and related tools to remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, buff, hone, or polish metal or plastic workpieces.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect or measure finished workpieces to determine conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as gauges or micrometers.
  • Observe machine operations to detect any problems and make necessary adjustments to correct issues.
  • Activate machine start-up switches to grind, lap, hone, debar, shear, or cut workpieces according to specifications.
  • Lift and position workpieces manually or with hoists and secure them in hoppers or on machine tables, faceplates, or chucks using clamps.
Requirements
  • The salary for this role is estimated at $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
  • Mathematics skills are required to solve problems in this role.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is essential.
