We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Interstate Advanced Materials.

Job Summary

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing CNC programs for the production of machined parts using Mastercam CAD/CAM software. You will also be responsible for setting up and operating CNC routers and mills, as well as adjusting machine settings and job setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write and modify CNC programs for manufacturing of machined parts
  • Adjust machine settings and job setup of CNC mills and routers
  • Use post-processor software to convert toolpaths created in CAD/CAM programming
  • Read, convert, and interpret design blueprints
  • Create, design, and machine fixtures and tooling for production of parts
  • Edit G-Code machine programs
  • Reverse engineer existing parts to create CNC programs for manufacturing
  • Support routine machine maintenance and repair
  • Create PDF blueprints/drawings for production and quality control
  • Train new and existing personnel on machine operations and procedures
  • Maintain quality control documents and setup information
  • Optimize programs for better run times, material yields, and scrap rates
Requirements
  • Proven experience in CNC CAD/CAM programming
  • Strong mathematical skills, including basic algebra and geometry
  • Skills in operating CNC machining and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
