We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety, with a passion for creating a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safety of job sites and all staff.
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
  • Provide training on CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and other essential safety topics.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Intervene to stop any acts or processes that are unsafe or do not comply with EHS guidelines.
  • Assist with reviewing and maintaining existing policies and measures, and updating them according to legislation and current practices.
  • Establish or create weekly toolbox trainings and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with safety meetings, including content, coordination of meeting space, and logistics.
  • Assist with coordinating guest safety speakers.
  • Inspect job sites to identify issues and/or non-conformity.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Safety Manager.
  • Assist with identifying and developing training programs.
  • Maintain PPE supplies and order as needed.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Fulfill the role of Safety Officer as needed.
  • Operate vehicles and other equipment safely, adhere to safety protocols, report hazards and risks, and contribute to a safe and secure working environment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in instruction or teaching, minimum CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety or equivalent work experience.
  • Construction experience.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
