Job Overview

Position Summary: Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the hotel’s physical infrastructure utilizing various hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of the hotel, pool, and adjacent areas, executing minor and routine tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC repairs.
  • Alert management regarding the necessity for significant repairs or enhancements to lighting, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Address guest service requests in alignment with company protocols, maintaining accurate records of completed tasks.
  • Configure phone systems based on hotel requirements.
  • Monitor equipment and utility meter readings daily.
  • Remain accessible to the Front Desk, General Manager, and Chief Engineer.
  • Maintain a repository of Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of frequently used parts and supplies.
  • Familiarize oneself with emergency procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to interpret and utilize specifications.
  • Capable of working with precise measurements.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic for material calculations and product inspections.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport materials and products.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No prior experience required.
