Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Treatment: Prepare and treat surfaces for coating and painting.
  • Blasting Operations: Perform blasting work on assemblies in a controlled environment, wearing full protective gear and following safety protocols.
  • Corrosion Protection: Apply corrosion-resistant coatings to heavy steel assemblies to prevent rust and degradation.
  • Component Preparation: Clean, inspect, and prepare components for coating and assembly.
  • Material Disposal: Properly dispose of blasting materials and waste.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Completed training as a process mechanic in coating technology or a comparable qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a sandblaster or knowledge of sandblasting in the metal industry is an advantage.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to dust and noise.
  • Shift Work: Willingness to work in a 3-shift system, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Additional Skills: Crane license or forklift license is desirable.
