About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading transmission line design and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead transmission line design, utilizing knowledge of systems ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV
  • Provide QA/QC reviews on drawing packages
  • Generate cost-effective design for high-voltage electrical transmission lines
  • Operate company software such as PLS-CADD
  • Work alongside other departments and represent the engineering department in meetings
  • Monitor team progress and activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Site visits and traveling out of town for short periods, when required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in transmission line design
  • PE license or E.I.T preferred
  • Proficient with PLS-CADD
  • Experience in an EPC environment, preparing cost-effective designs
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI, and ANSI that apply to transmission design
