This role is pivotal in safeguarding our systems and data integrity. Your expertise in Istio, Envoy, Kubernetes, and Terraform, along with your experience in security penetration testing or automated API testing, positions you as a key player in advancing our security protocols within a cloud-centric framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Design and Implementation:

  • Architect and deploy secure cloud-native frameworks emphasizing Istio service mesh and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Fortify and secure containerized applications and microservices adhering to industry best practices.
  • Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments, embedding security from the outset.
  • Establish security measures and monitoring systems to identify and address potential threats.

Compliance and Security Evaluation:

  • Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine security evaluations and penetration tests to uncover vulnerabilities and propose remediation strategies.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols.

Integration of Security in DevOps:

  • Embed security practices and tools within the CI/CD pipeline to automate security assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Implement and manage security tools for code analysis, dependency oversight, and vulnerability tracking.
  • Encourage a culture of security awareness and teamwork among development and operations teams.

Incident Management:

Qualifications:

Practical Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Istio service mesh, Envoy proxy, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Expertise in security penetration testing methodologies or automated API testing tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and cloud-native technologies.

Knowledge of Security and Compliance:

  • Comprehension of security principles, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Awareness of industry security standards and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments.
