About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in pre-sales activities, supporting customer requirements gathering, building test plans for Proof of Concept evaluation, and participating in sales engagement for identifying opportunities.

The role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as a broad understanding of information technology topics related to DED technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work under indirect supervision.

Responsibilities

  1. Pre-Sales Activities: Assist in pre-sales activities, including customer requirements gathering, building test plans for POC evaluation, and participating in sales engagement for identifying opportunities.
  2. Technical Requirements: Respond to technical requirements for RFP requests and participate in the sales process.
  3. Solution Ideation: Manage activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation in driving customer wins.
  4. Solution Architecture: Review business context for solutions to company challenges, define vision and requirements for the solution, recommend potential options, select the most optimal option, and participate in the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.
  5. Communication: Communicate the architecture to stakeholders and collaborate with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of best practice capability for Optomec DED solutions.
  6. Structured Approach: Champion a structured approach to business application solutions.
  7. Solutions Development: Directly assist in the development of a solutions architecture program, including departmental roadmaps and project initiatives for customers/prospects.
  8. Solutions Alignment: Assure solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standard guidelines of technology solutions required by Optomec.
  9. Innovative Approaches: Influence changes to standards when necessary and participate in adopting innovative approaches to technology.
  10. Solutions Management: Assist domain architecture team on solutions management and timing of financial spend in collaboration with sales account management for wins with customers/prospects.
  11. Architectural Aspects: Support the architectural aspects of all application projects in DED portfolio offerings.
  12. Identification and Recommendation: Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
  13. Proactive Solutions: Develop and execute solutions which further reduce the percentage of time spent on reactive work.
