Job Title: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Aspirus MedEvac in Medford, WI.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) works under the direction and supervision of the Manager - MedEvac and/or their designee, providing safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergent patient care standards and practices in accordance with national and state guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with critical care paramedics, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Operate ground transport ambulances and intercepts, utilizing specialized principles and techniques of transport practice, emergency procedures, and diagnostics.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills in emergency medical services.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of a National Registry or state-approved educational program for AEMT.
  • Minimum of 1 year (3 years preferred) current field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service for ground transports and intercepts.
  • Active Wisconsin AEMT license.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residency.
  • Current AEMT National Registry licensure preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations (CEVO) or Emergency Vehicle Operating Certification (EVOC) or training.
  • Current BLS certification.
