Position Overview:

This role encompasses a wide range of environmental engineering responsibilities, focusing on maintenance operations related to navigation channels, including beneficial use, coastal restoration, stormwater management, and environmental compliance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare detailed plans and specifications for dredging projects.
- Conduct thorough analyses of sediment management strategies and perform hydraulic assessments.
- Engage in field inspections during construction phases and oversee soil and groundwater sampling.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and field personnel, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Microstation, and ArcGIS for project design and analysis.
- Maintain compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Provide oversight and guidance to junior staff and coordinate tasks among team members.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ, NY, or PA is preferred.
- OSHA 40-hour certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with state and local environmental regulations is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary.
