Park Ranger

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Seasonal Park Maintenance Workers at Sleeping Giant State Park. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the park's facilities and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.

• Perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of DEEP managed lands and facilities, including litter pickup, cleaning, mowing, raking, and painting.
• Use hand tools and operate machinery and power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, brush cutters, tractors, and medium-duty vehicles.
• Direct traffic in parking lots and drive vehicles rated at 3/4 Ton Gross Vehicle Weight or less.
• Assist in job planning and preparation of materials lists.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the class.

• Experience in custodial work, landscaping, or a related skilled trade.
• Knowledge of machinery and power equipment operation.

Incumbents in this class may be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
