Caregiver - Weekend Respite

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respite Counselor to join our team at Riverside Community Care. As a Respite Counselor, you will work as part of a team in our acute care residence, providing guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community, and develop the skills necessary to return to independent living.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health
• Work as part of a team in our acute care residence
• Develop and implement individualized plans to support consumers in achieving their goals
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care and support
• Document consumer progress and activities in program records

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree with one year of experience or High School Diploma and three years of related experience
• Ability to communicate in and comprehend the English language
• Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and regular access to a reliable vehicle
