Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Superintendent to join our fast-growing team in the Engineering industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of skilled professionals and manage various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of construction projects, ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the coordination of construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure productivity and safety.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to plan and develop project schedules and milestones.
- Ensure that all construction activities are in compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Handle any on-site issues or emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Monitor the progress of projects, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, providing regular updates and reports on project status.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Manage and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
- Provide leadership and guidance to your team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
- Proven experience in paving, DOT, public and private site development, and civil site construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle on-site issues and emergencies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or similar would be an advantage.
