Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist

Optum is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in the Tri-State region. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operating related equipment to produce high-quality images for radiologists to interpret.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into the computer system
  • Maintain quality standards related to HIPAA regulations
  • Stock medical and radiologic supplies
  • Assist in the completion of the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR)
  • Contribute to efficient outpatient operations, maximizing productivity of assigned modality
  • Review examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to radiologists
  • Communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for patient care
Requirements:
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
  • Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography or sonography
  • Ability to assist patients weighing 300 pounds or more and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation
  • Eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review images
