Optum is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in the Tri-State region. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operating related equipment to produce high-quality images for radiologists to interpret.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment to produce high-quality images
- Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into the computer system
- Maintain quality standards related to HIPAA regulations
- Stock medical and radiologic supplies
- Assist in the completion of the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR)
- Contribute to efficient outpatient operations, maximizing productivity of assigned modality
- Review examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to radiologists
- Communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for patient care
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
- Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography or sonography
- Ability to assist patients weighing 300 pounds or more and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation
- Eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review images
