Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our Allied Health Science department at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching courses in various disciplines, including Microbiology, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Human Body, General Chemistry, and General Physical Science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in a variety of formats, including synchronous and asynchronous environments
  • Develop and implement course syllabi that meet department and college standards
  • Plan and deliver lectures, discussions, and assignments that promote student learning and engagement
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on assignments and exams
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve course curriculum
  • Advise students on course selection and program requirements
  • Stay current with innovations and changes in the field of education
Requirements
  • Master's degree in the discipline or Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the discipline
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Experience using technology to teach, including Blackboard
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Quality Matters online teaching certification
