About Our Unit
The Subacute General unit at Rehab & Nursing Kentridge offers a unique and rewarding work environment, with two main floors providing care to residents and post-acute patients. Each floor features designated units focused on patient specialties, such as general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries, and cancer.
Scope of Work
Registered Nurses (RNs) working on this unit will be responsible for delivering nursing care responsibly and accountably, upholding the standards of professional performance described by the American Nurses Association (ANA). Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) under the direction of RNs, mid-level providers, or physicians contribute to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Nursing Education: An Associate's degree in Nursing from an approved program, BSN within 5 years, MI RN licensure, AHA or ARC BLS certification within 90 days.
- Patient Care Skills: Ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer medications, perform vital signs, and use medical equipment according to established protocols.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth care transitions and collaborative practice.
