We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to work with our team in a travel capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for MRI examinations
  • Explain procedures in a clear and concise manner to alleviate patient anxiety
  • Set up equipment to administer MRI procedures in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure patient screening and consent are obtained as necessary
  • Perform MRI procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, neurological, and extremity exams
  • Position patients on the exam table and within the gantry
  • Enter patient history data and other relevant information into the system
  • Calculate the number of scans required based on patient size and operate equipment to obtain the necessary images
  • Communicate with radiologists to review and obtain additional scanning as needed
  • Operate equipment for image transfer, archival, and PACS system use
  • Assist radiologists with IV contrast administration
  • Monitor patient condition and report any changes or concerns to the radiologist
  • Perform minor repairs and calibration checks on equipment as necessary
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and report major problems to management
  • Assist with patient flow, including scheduling exams, premedication administration, and exam completion
Requirements:
  • Current MRI Technologist certification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced MRI environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and schedules
