Position Overview:
The Forensic Nursing Preceptor is responsible for the design and implementation of a comprehensive educational program for forensic nurse examiners. This role requires a minimum of three years of clinical experience in forensic nursing, focusing on the development of a preceptorship program that is accessible to eligible grantees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, execute, and assess educational programs related to SANE/SAFE.
  • Utilize various assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify the educational needs and competencies of nursing staff and new recruits.
  • Provide expert consultation in program development, clinical practices, and professional growth.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills while working independently in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with state licensure.
  • Completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training and certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Adult (SANE-A).
  • Current BLS certification from an accredited organization.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in forensic nursing.
