Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, performing preventative maintenance and routine repairs on trucks and trailers. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, truck/trailer inspections, brake jobs, and replacing lights, tires, belts, and other components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide roadside assistance as needed.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, equipment, and technology to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Test and inspect mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in fleet maintenance on tractor-trailer repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Courses, certificate, or diploma from a vocational or technical school (preferred).
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Compliance with DOT and company regulations.
  • Personal tools and equipment required.
